Is this a known issue? Does anything stick out to anyone as to what could be wrong? I have a 4.79 rating, so I don't believe that is the issue. I also attempted to install the app on my Android phone and ended up with the same problems. The same thing and error also happens if I try to schedule a ride for the future. I also tried to order a car from Google Maps, however when it asks me to connect my account to the Google Maps app, it seems to also lose connection to the Uber servers when I tried to verify the two factor authentication. I get the error reading "Oops, something went wrong." No matter how many times I close and reopen the app, reboot my phone, delete the app, reboot and reinstall, or delete the app from Storage Settings (to delete the app cache and data as directed by the Uber support staff), nothing seems to remedy the issue. It then seems to lose connection to the Uber servers or the network (I have tried on our company WiFi, the same way I've always ordered a car in the past, as well as on 4G LTE). When I tried to get a car from work (in NYC) to Penn Station, which I have done numerous times and did just the night before, I got to the point where I clicked to Confirm and my app went to searching for a car. Since Sunday, I have had an odd issue where I am unable to order an Uber.
